The Trek Madone Gen 8 road bike is here. Built to provide you with better than the best of both worlds, Trek has combined their two iconic race bikes, whilst enhancing the qualities of both. Ultra-light, astonishingly aerodynamic, and still the undisputed class leader in vertical compliance, thanks to Trek’s IsoFlow technology.

The new Madone is also available as part of Trek’s Project One custom build programme, where you can get your frame in some of the most stunning colourways to ever hit the market.

Key Features of the Trek Madone Gen 8:

As light as the Émonda, as fast as the Madone.

Using a completely novel range of tube shapes and all-new 900 Series OCLV carbon, the new Madone has shed 320 grams. Now as light as the Émonda and stiffer where it counts, the new Madone climbs with the very best.

It’s not enough to be light; the new Madone is every bit as aerodynamic as the last – a true race winner. As all modern bikes should be, the new Madone has been designed as a system: it’s faster with the rider, bottles, and rider position all taken into account.

RSL System.

The new Madone benefits from a complete system of newly developed go-faster equipment. Designed with the frame, the new RSL Aero Water Bottle and Cages save 1.8 watts. They can be bought aftermarket for SL models and have been tested with a range of leading bikes – free speed if you want it! The latest ultra-light, aero-sculpted Aero RSL Bar/Stem is 3cm narrower at the hoods than the drops, allowing riders to take up super aerodynamic positions with the security of a wider stance available for descending.

Finally, the all-new Bontrager Aeolus RSL tyres, designed specifically for the Madone and fitted on most of the Madones, save riders 3.7 watts just from rolling resistance, with an even bigger aerodynamic saving thanks to an ingeniously engineered tread and shape.

Trek Madone Gen 8 road bike range of specs and builds.

The new Trek Madone has been designed to suit a wide range of budgets, whether you want a bike fit for the World Tour or your first full carbon frameset. The Madone SL models feature simpler 500 Series OCLV Carbon and two-piece handlebar/stem combos to hit a lower price point without compromising on quality. The SL series can also be built up with mechanical groupsets.
